FAQ: Sales and Operation

Why do you give timeframes on integration related timelines and roadmaps instead of firm dates?

Due to regulatory requirements, Avaya and NES are not allowed to fully engage on certain potentially competitive topics until after the first day of joint operations. This delays the start of some critical technical and analytical work that needs to be done in order to fully integrate all processes, tool and offers. Some offers, processes, and tools will merge within the first few weeks. Others could take up to a year to be seamlessly integrated. The most important thing is preserving the customer and partner experience so the teams will move as quickly as possible while ensuring a smooth transition for our key constituents.

Do I have a new Avaya account manager?

Account managers will remain the same in the interim. Customers with both Avaya and NES accounts will be assigned an account lead, who will be your central point of contact. Should you receive a new account manager during the transition process, you will be informed appropriately.

Have ordering processes changed?

Both Avaya and NES customers and partners will order Avaya or NES products and services the same way as they did prior to transaction close (e.g., EDI, Enterprise Configurator, or Order Centre). New NES purchase orders will be placed with Avaya in the same manner as placed with NES and will continue to require a quote reference number, where applicable. MetroEthernet (MEN) products will require a separate purchase order after transaction close.

Will Avaya support the NES supply base and secure my product purchases?

Avaya will support the NES supply chain and ensure that customer orders can be fulfilled. Order fulfillment will remain business as usual throughout the integration period as Avaya is committed to maintaining supply to customers.

Will product lead times improve as a result of the combined company?
